T. H. Bell Teaching Incentive Loan (TIL): (March 24, 2017)
TIL is funded by the Utah State Legislature. TIL recipients are required to pursue an educator preparation program, obtain educator licensing, and then teach in Utah public schools for a period equal to the time they received assistance. To qualify for a Utah Educator License, a recipient must receive a cleared background/fingerprint check at the time of licensing and have a visa or citizenship status that will allow the recipient to be employed in the United States. TIL consists of a waiver (of tuition and fees at the Utah public institutions and $995 per semester at private institutions) to be used for a period not exceeding 8 semesters. Alpine Recovery Lodge: (Due July 1st and November 1st)
We believe it’s our responsibility to give back to the community and help those looking to better themselves through an education, specifically students who have been directly affected by addiction.
Twice a year, we award $1,000 to students in need to help them receive the education they deserve. High school seniors, undergrads, and graduate students are welcome to apply. Applicant must be a resident of Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona or Nevada. To apply, please submit an essay detailing how addiction has directly affected you. A winner will be chosen based on strength of essay and financial need.
