American Fire Sprinkler: (Open September – April)
Seniors read an essay on “History and Impact of Automatic Fire Sprinklers” and answer ten questions, each correct answer earns you one entry into the drawing (max of 10 entries). UAIIA: (Due April 1, 2019)
The Utah Association of Independent Insurance Agents (UAIIA) is offering a minimum of three scholarships ranging from $500 to $2000 in 2018 to Utah high school seniors who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and are active in extra-curricular activities through their school, church, community or work. The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition -- financial need is not considered -- that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students. The main requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for getting a higher education. The first place prize is a $1,000 scholarship to help cover educational expenses. This award can be used at any college or university in the United States. 2019 Student-View scholarship: (Due April 22, 2019) Seniors
The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors. It is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need. It is exceptionally easy to apply: NO minimum SAT or ACT score, NO minimum grade point average, NO lengthy, time-consuming paperwork, NO essays,NO application fees. Please submit an essay of 500-550 words about how you have implemented kindness or how you will do so in the future in your personal life, school or community. Examples could include working with those with special needs, and with those in hospitals. Each high school in Orem can have one senior win a $333 scholarship. The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship: (Due June 30, 2019)
A $1,000 award will be given to a student pursuing a health-related degree program. Areas of study that will be considered include, but are not limited to, counseling, social work, emergency medicine, pre-med, nursing, psychology (with a focus on addiction counseling or a substance-abuse related field).
Applicants must submit an essay no more than 500 words describing why they are passionate about health care, with a focus on substance abuse and mental health. Essays can draw from personal or professional experience. Apply @

The Caring.com Scholarship: (Due June 30, 2019)
Two scholarships of $1,500 are awarded each year to student-caregivers to help cover costs of tuition and books. Applicants must be full-time college students at an accredited two-or-four-year college or university in the United States, or full-time high school students who are registered to attend a qualifying institution the following semester.
Interested students can submit either a 1,500-word essay or a two-minute video addressing the following questions:
Alpine Recovery Lodge: (Due July 1st and November 1st)
We believe it’s our responsibility to give back to the community and help those looking to better themselves through an education, specifically students who have been directly affected by addiction.
Twice a year, we award $1,000 to students in need to help them receive the education they deserve. High school seniors, undergrads, and graduate students are welcome to apply. Applicant must be a resident of Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona or Nevada. To apply, please submit an essay detailing how addiction has directly affected you. A winner will be chosen based on strength of essay and financial need.
